I bumped into an old friend on sunday. He was working at an electrical fair as a promoter, and our conversation went something like this.

Me: I've been thinking, should I get a desktop (computer) or a notebook to replace my old CPU?

W: Oh, desktop, you mean these? How about getting one?
(points towards some boxes of Microsoft Desktop keyboards on display)

Me: Huh?

W: (smiling) Oh no, seriously...

Me: Oh seriously! I was thinking of getting a table lah, a DESK -- desktop -- you know?

W: ... ...

Me: Aww. You don't like cold jokes ah?

We're such nutcases.

Sheesh. The Kings of Convenience are coming to Singapore for the Mosaic Music Festival and i desperately want to watch them play. (Edit: sold out!)

But it doesn't help when most of your friends are a bunch of mean, radio-loving folks who take little fancy to indie and the like (P & Q came along for the Baybeats fest though; we saw Copeland & some local bands, including Electrico, play).
