For Your Aural Pleasure - Lunarin April 27, 2006 |
I have a confession to make: i'm not big on the local indie music scene. I can pretty much count the number of gigs i've been to with one hand. I own only these 2 albums. Sounds dismal, doesn't it? I'm thinking, hey, maybe i should dismantle this wall of ignorance to explore the world that thrives behind it.
I chanced upon on modern alt-rock trio Lunarin (MySpace) sometime back when they'd just released their debut album The Chrysalis. I hadn't heard about them back then, but they showed me 2 things:
· Lawyers can rock
· Engineers can rock
That said, The Tower -- the 8th track off the album -- starts off delicately, but as we delve into the tune, vocalist Linda's voice turns husky with emotion and the guitar riffs grow frenzied. Ooh. The dudes provide background vocals on this one, all at once blending neatly into a beautiful killer rock track.
Mp3 · Lunarin - The Tower (removed) (via pure rock)
